The next thing is to find what you’re comfortable in. You may have come to peace in terms with the fact that you don’t like long wigs or super big wigs. You perhaps prefer a bob cut around shorter length. So you are recommended to experiment and find out some wigs that you like. You have to accept the fact that you’re wearing a wig and there is only so much you can do to make it look natural. It’s not something to be embarrassed and consider wig as an accessory to enhance your look, just like sunglasses or hats. So it’s important to be confident and comfortable in your wigs.
Customize your wig
Many people lack the confidence to wear wigs because they think their wigs are not authentic and other people can easily spot wigs, or the wigs may fall off their head if they move violently or shake heads. Actually there are many ways to make wigs look more realistic and keep them in place. To have a natural look, you can customize your wigs by plucking the hairline and part, using foundation or concealer to hide the lace part, bleaching the black knots, or cutting a wig bang to cover the hairline. As for securing your wig, you’ve got several options, like wig adhesive, got2be glue, wig band, elastic band and so on.

Wear it out on the weekend and try to build up your comfort level in confidence when you’re wearing your wigs. Go where you are anonymous, like markets, concerts or shopping mall. Go where probably no one is going to recognize you. The tip is to go and look in as many mirrors as possible. When you look in the mirror, you’re gonna say I like my hair, it looks good. You are starting to get comfortable in your surroundings.
Gain support from families or friends
Do whatever is comfortable with you. Tell your families or friends that you are wearing wigs. That could help you become more comfortable with your wigs. If you keep changing wigs, they may feel uncomfortable with the change. If they are embarrassing you or you feel not comfortable around them in a wig, perhaps it’s time for you to take the offense and ask them to sit down and tell them how important the wig is to you and you really need their support. Get the yes when you ask them directly, and this will certainly help you be more confident in the wig. And their positive comments on your wig look will also enhance your confidence.
Give yourself some time
If you feel afraid of wearing wigs confidently in public places, don’t get discouraged. It’s a natural phenomenon and give yourself some time to accept your new image with wigs. Start wearing wigs daily and you’ll finally get used to wearing them. The first week or two you may think about it almost all day every day. As time goes by, you will hardly think about it at all. You’ll grow into it. You may haven’t decided when you get a compliment on your hair about telling people you’re wearing a wig. It mostly doesn’t matter. You can also respond by just saying "Thanks. It's a wig". The more you wear it, the more comfortable you will become.
